Three kinds of submissions are invited: proposals for (1) an organized session with multiple presentations, (2) a single presentation and (3) a tutorial presentation. A submission for an organized session should include a one-page abstract for each presentation proposed and a cover letter from the session organizer that outlines the theme of the session. A submission for a single presentation should include a one-page abstract of the presentation. A submission for a tutorial presentation should include a one-page abstract that indicates that it is a tutorial, plus a cover letter. All proposals and abstracts will be reviewed by the Program Committee. PostScript, LaTex or ASCII format sent via e-mail will be accepted (and preferred); or mail three hard-copies of the submission. Send all submissions, electronic or hard-copy, to Suvrajeet Sen, Program Chair; Department of Systems and Industrial Engineering; University of Arizona; Tucson, AZ 85721; Phone: (520) 621-6551; Fax: (520) 621-6555; E-mail: aor@sie.arizona.edu The deadline for proposals and abstracts for organized sessions is Aug. 1, 1997; the deadline for abstracts for contributed sessions is Sept. 1, 1997. An International Teletraffic Congress (ITC) Mini-Seminar is planned to be "piggy-backed" on March 12, 1998, the day after the conference, at the same hotel. Details on the ITC Mini-Seminar will be provided in a separate call. International Conference on Industrial Logistics The third ICIL will take place at California State University in Chico, Calif., on June 16-19, 1997. Previous conferences in France and Brazil established strong international and interdisciplinary flavors at ICIL. Operations researchers, computer scientists, economists, industrial logisticians and other practitioners will gather from Belgium, Brazil, France, Turkey, United Kingdom, Uruguay, the United States and other countries. Papers are encouraged in three major aspects of industrial logistics:
International Workshop on Decision Analysis Applications The "Real Academia de Ciencias Exactas, Fisicas y Naturales", the "Real Academia de Ciencias Politicas y Morales" and the "Real Academia de Medicina y Cirugia", under the support of the "Instituto de Espana," will hold a two-day workshop on "Decision Analysis Applications" July 11-12, 1997 in Spain. All application areas will be considered, with preference to medicine, energy, environment, defense, politics, socioeconomics and the law. All decision analytic schools are welcomed. There will be one plenary lecture, together with invited and contributed lectures. Contributed papers may be either read at sessions or displayed at a poster session. Invited papers and a selection of contributed papers, after a refereeing process by the Scientific Committee, will be published in the Proceedings. Authors willing to participate should sent an abstract, via e-mail, mail or fax to Professor F. J. Giron before April 25. The abstract should include title, authors, affiliation with e-mail and fax, and a description of the problem studied and the methodology used. Send abstracts to Professor. F. J. Giron, Departamento de Estadistica e I.O., Facultad de Ciencias (U. de Málaga), Campus de Teatinos s/n, 29071 Malaga (SPAIN); Fax: 34 5 2 13 18 94; E-mail: fj_giron@ccuma.uma.es Notification of acceptance will be sent by May 10, 1997.
